August Contest Submission (An Interview with Bela)
Barbara Waa-Waa interviews Bela... the magic horse... BWW: Bela, thanks for taking the time out of your hectic schedule to talk with me for a few minutes, your fans will be thrilled. I'm sure you know that you are the most popular character in "The Wheel of Time" series. Bela: Neghgh...phww...phww... ~paws ground~ ...phhht...Neaaaaaa! BWW: You are too modest Bela. Actually, the latest Angus Reed pole ranks you as the 3rd most popular character in fiction, just behind Sam Gamgee's pony in "The Lord of the Rings" and the Goat Boy from "Saturday Night Live." Bela: ~snorts~ Neghghghgh...phuut... ~flips tail~ BWW: ~laughs that throaty Barbara Waa-Waa laugh~ No, Flipper didn't make the top 10. Is there a lot of competition among fictional animal characters? Bela: ~raises tail and releases flatulence~ BWW: Well... ~smiles her "meant to be sincere" smile~ I guess that speaks for itself...Let's move on to other topics Bela. What was it like growing up in the Two Rivers? Bela: ~shakes her head back and forth~ Neighhhh...Nea..Neigh... ~paws ground twice~ pbbbttt... BWW: The best alfalfa in Andor? Well, I'm sure we all think highly for where we grew up. Do you miss your birth place now that you have fame...notoriety...all the oats you can eat? Bela: Naehuhhuhhuhuhhuh... ~hangs her head between her legs~ BWW: ~wiping a tear from her eye~ That's touching...should we take a short break or are you able to carry on? ...Okay. Now tell us...what was it like to work with Rand and Company? Any problems? Any major gossip to pass along? Bela: Nieeeeeegh...neieieiieighghh...Neghgghghgh...phbbbt ~scratches her hind-quarters with teeth~ Neigh... BWW: Ohhh! ~throws back head and releases strange gurgling noise meant to be a heartfelt laugh~ The tabloids will have fresh material for the morning! Okay. Let's get down to it as our time is running out. I have two main questions your fans want to know about. Number one: "Winter's Heart" ...your BIG scene...the "triumphant ride"...what was it like? Bela: Neghghghgh ~grunt~ Neighhhhhhhhhh ~throws back head~ bppphhtt.... BWW: Amazing...truly amazing...I would have never guessed that you had a stunt double!!! That's quite a revelation...your fans will be very surprised. Bela: ~opens mouth wide and stretches jaw sideways revealing green stained teeth sticking her tongue straight out as she tries to loosen a wad of hay stuck in her throat~ BWW: Ho! That's rich! YOU are amazing!!! And very funny...I don't think your fans knew that side of you until tonight. ~speaking with strange meant-to-be-cute voice while making quotation marks in the air with her fingers~ "Another Facet of Bela - Not Just Your Average Old Mare" will be the headline tomorrow I'm sure. Time for one last question...Bela...tell us...spill the beans...Are you the Creator???
