Submit to the Fiction Post
Well, this is your chance to use your favorite site (it better be!  ) to submit original fantasy writing of your own. There are thousands and thousands of fantasy fans visiting wotmania each and every day, so your story will probably get read many times by readers who are always hungry for more interesting fantasy to read. And like I said on the previous page, it's a great way to earn 100 wSE points. To keep order, maintain quality, and ensure that everything suits the community atmosphere of wotmania as a whole, there are a few guidelines...
- Fantasy (and Science Fiction) Only
There were initially questions as to whether or not non-fantasy fiction and poetry would be accepted. For now the answer is no, only because I want to retain the focus of the Other Fantasy section. If a fantasy-only Fiction Post is a huge hit, perhaps I'll work and do something to let people submit all kinds of fiction.
- Original Work
wotmania must protect itself from copyright issues. You cannot write serious fiction about the characters from a published fantasy or science fiction series (The Lord of the Rings, for example) and have it posted here. Write your own original work (or a parody of existing fantasy) and it will fit right in.
- Quality
There will be standards regarding what gets posted and what does not get posted, and if your fiction doesn't meet those standards it will not be posted. That means your submission needs to be free of spelling and grammatical errors, because the admins here have better things to do than spend an hour cleaning up your two page short story. Got it? Good deal. 
- Appropriate Content
wotmania is a site that is geared toward people of all ages and beliefs. The admins will review each and every piece of fiction submitted to ensure that it is not offensive. This is not to say that everything here has to be G-rated, but including something in your writing that most people would deem offensive is a pretty sure way to keep it out of the Fiction Post. Explicit sexual content will prevent your fiction from being posted.
- Formatting
Please do the admins a favor and put a full line break between paragraphs instead of just starting a new line and indenting. Indenting doesn't work online and it makes the admins' lives miserable. Hit "Enter" an extra time and it will help the admins get your work posted more quickly.
- Be Patient
The admins who work on wotmania do actually have lives outside this site. Sometimes they can't get things posted as quickly as you (or they themselves) would like. Do not send obnoxious e-mails asking where your fiction is, because that's the single best way to ensure that it never gets posted.
Submit Now
With that out of the way, now it's time to get on with actually submitting your fiction, right? I would say the best way to do this would probably be writing the fiction in a text editor or word processor of some kind, and then you could simply paste the text into the box below. Please keep in mind that required fields are marked in red.
